The Woodland Train Depot is valued treasure in Yolo County. As a member of the Sacramento Valley Historical Railways, it has been recognized on the Registry of National Historic Places. It is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to educating the public about railroads and railroad history and to the preservation and operation of historic railroad equipment and structures. It was built in 1911 as the Woodland Southern Pacific Train Depot, the third of four train depots built in Woodland and the only original still remaining.
